Many people think 4K movies are too expensive. And while it’s true that new titles often cost $5-10 more than their Blu-ray high-def counterparts, the price usually drops significantly just a few months after their release.

The list of sub-$15 4K movies now includes Chris Nolan’s brilliant 2014 sci-fi film, Interstellar (pictured above); Top-Gun, the Tom Cruise aviation adventure movie; the original Halloween movie starring Jamie Lee Curtis; the Coen Brothers’ The Big Lebowski; American Psycho, the satirical send-up of serial killers and stock brokers starring Christian Bale; John Wick, Chapter Two, starring Keanu Reeves as a ruthless hitman; Apollo 13, Ron Howard’s chronicling of the Apollo space flight that nearly didn’t return; Rambo: Last Blood, Sylvester Stallone’s swan song to one of cinema’s most famous action characters; Midway, the 2019 film on the World War II battle that helped turned the tide for the Allies; Parasite, the brilliant 2019 South Korean film that surprisingly won the Academy Award for Best Picture; and Baby Driver, Edgar Wright’s saucy and stylish drama about a young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort).

And that’s just for starters. Amazon has a few dozen pages devoted to affordably priced 4K Blu-ray movies.
